Painting...
Desirae did some finger painting the other day and had a real blast. Denise had this stuff for a while and decided to take some pictures while Desirae was being creative. Personally I think the "paintings" turned out pretty cool and it was really great to see how happy Desirae was in the photographs.
This has been a pretty quick and intense week and I am really glad to get to my "Friday" point for the week. Tomorrow we will take our first travel trailer trip and we finally decided on going to Calico Ghost Town. The weather looks like it is not going to be great all the way around, but Calico looks like it has the best chance for good weather. As it turns out the weather at Lone Pine wasn't going to be very good and there was even a good chance for snow... So I think this will be a better trip for us.
I also went into town on Wednesday to pick up a portable DVD player that Denise wanted to get basically for herself and to potentially use for the kids if things get too boring for them on the trip. While down in Lancaster I thought it would be a good idea to go check out the GMC trucks and see what was available. Well, to make a long story short, I pulled a "Tony" and came home with a new 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 truck! Denise never really liked the Murano so I figured I might as well just do it and get something a little better for towing. Denise really likes the truck and I think this is going to work out good. I don't have 500 miles on it yet nor do I have the braking controller so we are still using the Bronco for tomorrows trip... Though it sure was nice to be able to move the 2 trailers around without having to switch towing vehicles! I figure my little utility trailer doesn't really count as towing within the first 500 miles...

OMG you bought a new truck and a GMC at that. I guess I can be grateful that you did not get a Titan so I won't have to be THAT jealous! What color and picture please!
